The name reflects that our founding team is an eclectic blend of British, Indian and Japanese. The name Kamai reflects the values that guide how we work. In Indian / Gujarati culture, kamai refers to earning through honest effort—creating value in a way that is ethical, disciplined, and sustainable. In Japanese tradition, the word relates to kamae: readiness, posture, and balance before action, as well as care and attentiveness in service. Together, these meanings capture our approach to AI advisory: prepared rather than rushed, thoughtful rather than reactive, and focused on delivering real, earned outcomes.
